Two everyday backpacks compared

The model dimensions in this comparison were checked on 29 October 2026; the official Dutch product pages were consulted again on 4 November. Other Kånken ranges and older versions need to be compared separately.

Think through your daily packing first

Allow space for your laptop, power supply, bottle and everyday items. A capacity in litres does not confirm that a particular object will fit through the opening.

The standard Kånken does not have a separate padded laptop compartment like the Laptop 15. A separate sleeve in the main compartment is a different arrangement and does not provide proven equivalent protection.

Measure your laptop including your chosen protection

Fjällräven lists laptop dimensions of 36 × 26 × 3 cm for the Laptop 15. Measure the external dimensions including any sleeve, rather than just the screen diagonal.

Remember cables and the power supply: they take up space alongside the device. The stated weight is for the empty bag, not its full contents. Zovif has not assessed carrying comfort or protection in a fall.

More compartments or a lighter bag?

Both models have two open side pockets and a zipped front pocket. The Laptop 15 adds a padded laptop compartment and a zipped inside pocket.

According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the Laptop 15 offers two litres more capacity but is five centimetres deeper and 160 grams heavier. Without a laptop, the standard Kånken may be sufficient if your other items fit.

Try the bag with your laptop, sleeve and everyday contents. The device should fit into the compartment without force, and the zip should close without strain.

Material and care

Both use Vinylon F; Fjällräven specifies a soft brush and lukewarm water for cleaning. Water-repellent does not mean that Zovif has confirmed protection in prolonged rain.

Choose the colour and version once you have decided on the layout you need. Check the colour of the selected retailer version; variants may differ in price and availability.

A complete comparison before ordering

The value-for-money comparison includes the same colour, version, any sleeve and delivery. As that complete selection has not been recorded for both bags, there is no current price winner here.

What free-delivery threshold does Fjällräven Netherlands show?

The Dutch product pages state free shipping above €100. Check the final basket, especially if you are adding only an accessory or changing the delivery country.

Is the Dutch Kånken price the same as the Laptop 15 price?

These are different products and versions. In the Dutch shop, check the selected colour and full model name; a price for the Mini, No. 2 or a different laptop size is not an equivalent comparison.

Can a return to the Fjällräven online shop include a purchase from a Dutch retail shop?

The Dutch returns guidance accepts only items purchased from Fjällräven’s own online shops. Purchases from another Dutch retailer are subject to that seller’s return arrangements.

What voluntary return period does Fjällräven state in Dutch?

The Dutch-language returns page states 30 days for unused items in their original packaging with labels. This is not a promise for used bags or purchases from another retailer.

Do the same return options apply to Kånken Me in the Netherlands?

The Dutch returns information lists personalised Kånken Me and Kånken Me Mini as exceptions. Do not treat a personalised version as equivalent to the standard Kånken or Laptop 15 in this guide.

Considerations before buying

The standard Kånken may suit you when a low empty weight and a simple layout are sufficient. The Laptop 15 is worth comparing for daily laptop use, but is unsuitable if the device and sleeve do not fit inside the compartment. Check the Laptop 15 dimensions and layout before choosing a colour.
